To ensure all participants have a seamless experience, we have prepared the following travel and local information for your convenience.
Getting to Gopeng
Arrive and Depart with Ease – Complimentary Airport Transfers:
The organizing committee is dedicated to making your journey to and from the IRF World Rafting Championship as smooth as possible. We are providing scheduled airport transfers for all athletes and IRF Delegates. Our friendly team will be awaiting your arrival at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on November 27th and 28th 2025, ready to transport you comfortably to Gopeng. When it’s time to say goodbye, we will also have scheduled departures from Gopeng to KLIA on December 8th and 9th, 2025.
Convenient Transport for Early Arrivals:
For those arriving earlier to get settled and train, we offer convenient car and mini van rental options for your transfer from KLIA to the Kampar River area of Gopeng. To ensure availability and a seamless experience with driver pickup directly at KLIA, we highly advise booking your rental well in advance of your arrival.
Travel by Road: For those arranging their own transportation, Gopeng is located approximately 235km from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). The drive is a scenic 3-hour journey along the North-South Expressway.

These resorts provides access to a rare, undisturbed natural landscape and the chance to see the world’s largest flower, the Rafflesia. This location provides a natural environment that is certain to appeal to nature enthusiasts.

To reach Gopeng from KLIA, first take the Express Rail Link (ERL) to KL Sentral Station. From there, you can purchase an online ticket for the Electric Train Service (ETS) to continue your journey.
A bus is a viable option for travel from KLIA to Kampar River, Gopeng. Please note that buses depart from Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS).
